The national team is made up of the best climbers from 16 to 30 years of age.It is my dream to be on the team but i have to wait until I am 16 years old. The standard climbing grade that you have to climb if you are on the team is v6 i have sent witch means done a v9 that is 3 grades harder than standard level for 16 years old. I think the standard grade for women is v5 i am not sure it could be the same but that is unlikely because all of the compositions the men’s climbing grade is 1-2 grades higher. Either way you have to be very good at rock climbing to be on the team. But there is one problem you have to do compositions to get on the team and i don’t like them. you have to do nationals and then if you get top 100 then you move in to worlds and then if you win that or come in top 1000 then you go o the the try out team, once you are there you do one comp and if you meet their expectations then you are on the team. One of the good parts about being on the team is that they pay for your flights around the world to compete. So those are my plans for when i am 16 asides from getting my L.
